Deal of the Day – The Hunt
There’s something about finding that daily deal that triggers a person to make a purchase. Many online companies are offering great discounts on many name brand electronics to get rid of inventory. So how do you find these great deals you ask? The first to do is run a Google search and type in “deal of the day” or “daily deals” and you’ll be bombarded with a ton of sites online offering so called deals for the consumer. The search results page will provided you sites after sites for you to filter through and see if there really is a deal or not.
Deal or No Deal?
Let’s say you found a decent looking site offering everything under the sun for the lowest price online. Great right? Well, not quite because you need to do your research yourself and find out if the price is the lowest price as advertised. Price matching against other sites is a great way to see if the item you’re looking at really is a good deal. I suggest you go several sites by doing another Google search with the item’s SKU number. Be careful when price matching because you might be comparing a product priced as new in box to a USD item, and that price discrepancy is misleading to the customer. Read the item’s condition and verify that with the site or seller.
Another thing to look out for is the shipping cost. Does that item for the deal of the day sell with free shipping? Many items are priced low because there is a shipping and handling fee.
